CGC invited Prof. Frank Wilczek from MIT (Nobel laureate 2004) to visit Yangzhou University in 2017. He was accompanied by his wife Prof. Betsy Devine (MIT),  Prof. Antti Niemi (Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences) and Prof. Irina Shnyra, Prof. Andreas Hemmerich (University of Hamburg), Prof. Vincent Liu (University of Pittsburgh), Prof. Boris Svistunov (MIT Amherst), Prof. Xiong-Jun Liu (Peking University), Prof. Ying Jiang (Shanghai University), Prof. Ying Hu (Shanxi University). 

On September 19th, the President of Yangzhou University, Prof. Xin-An Jiao, met Prof. Wilczek and presented to him an honorary professorship. This meeting was also joined by the Vice President of the University, Prof. Guo-Hong Chen. Later in the afternoon, Prof. Wilczek presented a popular science lecture titled “Dark Matter”, which was well-received by the students and faculties alike.
