CGC invited Prof. Can-Bin Liang from Beijing Normal University to visit Yangzhou University from 15-22 Oct, 2019.

Prof. Can-Bin Liang was born in Zhongshan County, Guangdong Province in January 1938. He moved to Macao with his parents four months later. From 1952 to 1955, he graduated from Guangya middle school in Guangdong Province. He was admitted to the Physics Department of Beijing Normal University in 1955; He graduated in 1959 and stayed in the department to teach. From 1981 to 1983, Prof. Liang served as a visiting scholar at the University of Chicago in USA. After returning to China, he has long been engaged in the teaching and scientific research of both basic and advanced courses. He became a professor in 1986. After retiring in 1999, he was regularly invited to give lectures at Beijing Normal University, Tsinghua University, the school of mathematics and Graduate School of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and various other departments and institutes. He has written 10 books, published 54 scientific research papers and 15 teaching and research papers.
