The December 2020 issue of EPJC published the research of Professor Dai De-Chang from CGC, "How to Form a Wormhole" (Eur. Phys. J. C (2020) 80:1103), on the cover. To be featured on a cover of a research journal indicates that Professor Dai's innovative research achievements have gained a substantial recognition. Professor Dai is the first author and corresponding author of the paper. He and his collaborators, Professor Dejan Stojkovic from Virginia Tech and Professor Dejan Stojkovic from University at Buffalo, the State University of New York, described the mechanism of wormhole formation, or more precisely, "wormhole-like" formation. Professor Dai had previously also published a number of wormhole related works. Such a shortcut through spacetime and whether we could potentially detect their signatures via future astronomical observations have been at the forefront of research in CGC.
